Can someone be both a Hugger and a Hugster?
Yes, you can be a Hugger for someone else while also being a Hugster yourself.

What happens if a Hugger declines my request?
If a Hugger declines your request, they will not be added to your profile, and you can invite someone else.

How many check-ins can I set in the free version?
You can set up to two check-ins per day in the free version.

Huggers will receive up to four nudges, five minutes apart, before the next available Hugger is contacted.

The ‘Send a Hug’ feature allows you to send a virtual hug to your Huggers, letting them know you’re thinking of them or need a bit of support.
How do I send a Hug?
Go to the ‘Send a Hug’ section, select a Hugger, and press the hug icon. They will receive a notification with your message.

Hug Buddy is the cute, blue, cube-shaped character with arms that represents the app's hug experience. It appears on your screen during check-ins, sending hugs, and when you’re interacting with your Huggers, giving a warm and friendly visual representation of the hug.
What does the Hug Buddy do?
The Hug Buddy visually represents the hug you’re sending or receiving, providing a comforting and engaging experience. It will also cheer you on during your check-ins and send positive vibes!
Can I customize the Hug Buddy?
Currently, the Hug Buddy is a standard feature and cannot be customized, but we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience!
Emergency Alerts
How do I trigger an emergency alert?
Press and hold the help button for three seconds on any screen where it's available.
What happens when I trigger an emergency alert?
Your Huggers are immediately notified of the emergency.
App Settings and Privacy
How do I update my personal information?
Go to the ‘Profile’ section and edit your details like name, phone number, and email address.
How do I change my notification settings?
Go to ‘Settings’ on your phone and customize how and when you receive notifications.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, if you delete your account, all your personal data and app history will be permanently removed. If you only want to deactivate, just remove all your connections and your check-in settings and log out. The app will be inactive till you start using it again.
